How do you handle my child's personal information?
Are there communication settings to control who my child can communicate with?
Yes! You have full control over you child's ability to communicate with other players in the world.
How is chat filtered to protect my child?
There are two different types of chat filtering available:
Standard - Players' chat is filtered so that bad words and phrases are not displayed. The goal is to prevent offensive content.
Strong - Players may only communicate using words and phrases from a pre-approved list. This list does not include proper nouns, numbers, or offensive content. The goal is to provide the highest level of safety and prevent the communication of personal information.
Children under the age 13 are restricted to strong chat filtering for outgoing messages. Standard filtering is optional for incoming mesages only. Children age 13 and older use standard filtering for incoming and outgoing messages.
What is messaging?
Vegas World has a system which allows players to leave messages for one another in the game, much like email. Players under age 13 are not allowed to use the messaging system unless they have parental permission.
What if someone says something inappropriate to my child?
If someone says something inappropriate to your child or asks for any personal information, your child can block that person to prevent further contact. You can also report that person to us and we will take the necessary actions.
